Come and get hands-on at one of our regular Sydney City Farm working bees.Tasks vary- but can include watering- weeding- plant care- plant propagation- potting and other farm-related activities.At our lunchtime session we focus on Propagation- Seed Saving and focus on the next generation of City Farm productionThis is a great opportunity to get involved with Sydney City Farm and meet others in your community.No experience needed. Just bring a can-do attitude and we will show you everything you need to know. Please wear clothes that can get dirty and covered sturdy shoes. If staff observe any of these symptoms you will be asked to leave. You will be required to fill in a quick online wellness check survey the day before your volunteer session or education program.When you arrive at the Sydney City FarmWhen you arrive to volunteer or attend an education session- scan the QR code at the entry and enter your name and phone number or email address. You must do this each time you attend. If you don't have a phone that can do this- ask a staff member to assist you. This is a NSW Health requirement and will be used for contact tracing purposes only if necessary.When at the Sydney City Farmnotify staff if you start to feel unwellmaintain 1.5 m physical distance from all people including staffwash or sanitise your hands on entry and regularly after thatyou are welcome to bring your own gardening gloves. Gloves will be supplied to volunteers and education participants who do not bring their ownfollow volunteer and education participant hygiene protocols discussed at start of sessionwipe down equipment that you use or touch with the sanitising wipes supplied

Sydney Living Museums is delighted to launch an exciting new online program- House Music at Your House- inspired by the sheet music collection at Rouse Hill Estate. We've delved into the hundreds of popular songs that survive in the collection at Rouse Hill Estate in Sydney's north-west to bring you the top 20 hits of the 1840s and 50s - songs played across NSW- Australia and overseas.Every week until December visit the Sydney Living Museums website- to view a new musical score of a song enjoyed by the Rouse family and their friends- along with a video- a sound file or guitar chords. We've also asked a group of Sydney's leading musicians to share their interpretations of these popular hits from their homes.We invite you to make music with us bringing the music of the 19th century into the 21st century. Recreate these songs for the 2020s and make your own cover version of each week's song- turning music from 19th-century Rouse Hill House into music at your house in the 21st century. Share your version with us- and we'll share the best responses across our website and social media.
