Dinosaurus Productions presents the Australian premiere of Yellow Face by Tony award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang.
It's 1990, and famous playwright DHH is a hero of the Asian community after taking a stand against the use of yellow face in an upcoming Broadway musical. But when he accidentally casts a white man as the Asian lead in his new play, he rushes to cover up his mistake. Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, with a cast of over 70 characters, this oh so timely, semi-biographical comedy is an energetic examination of cultural identity in the western world. How much of it do we put on for show and how much is truly who we are?
With a diverse team of exciting emerging artists tackling this Obie award-winning, Pulitzer-nominated play, Dinosaurus is excited to bring you a thought-provoking satire that has never been more relevant.
