Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte died in exile on the island of Saint Helena in 1821. Some of his hair was cut to fulfil his wish for distribution among family members. Perhaps to be treasured in a piece of mourning jewellery.

The City of Sydney's Civic Collection contains a lock of hair supposedly from the head of Napoleon Bonaparte. Join curator Margaret Betteridge's journey to untangle its history and unravel its significance.
