TWC Meets the Artist Evening Soiree with Butcherbird Quartet 2021

The Women's Club presents TWC Meets the Artist - An Evening Soirée with Sydney-based jazz ensemble Butcherbird Quartet.

Led by Bernice Tesara on trumpet, the band also showcases the artistry of Tessie Overmyer on saxophone, Harry Birch on upright bass and Toby Dunan on drums. Butcherbird reflects the multifaceted nature of emerging Australian jazz and features talent from Wollongong, Newcastle and Sydney. Each prominent musicians in their own right, many of the band members also compose original music. Between them, they have performed at the Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Qudos Bank Arena, Foundry 616, The Underground, The Music Lounge, Little Blowhole Art Bar, Sydney International Jazz Festival, Sydney Women's Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival and the Manly Jazz Festival.
