Craftnsw is celebrating the Year of the Tiger in conjunction with the Sydney Lunar Festival with our _Tiger Tiger _exhibition at The Shop Gallery in Glebe.
Our exhibition showcases a large range of contemporary and traditional craft, and all are made with a high standard of technical skills, individual designs and devotion that comes with being a dedicated hand worker. The crafts range from textiles, weaving, eco dyeing, shibori, embroidery, wearables to paper, ceramics, wood marquetry, decoupage, a few friendly tigers and more.
Saturday, 12 February is the 'Meet the Makers' day when visitors can talk to the makers of the crafts on exhibition. As an extra, between midday and 2 pm, there will be a demonstration of Bojagi patchwork techniques by Sangmi Lee and a musician, Maria Wang playing the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument. We're looking forward to seeing you and very happy to chat about any of the crafts that catch your interest or inspire you.
