Every Friday afternoon, thousands of Sydney-siders have one phrase on repeat in their heads - woohoo, it's Friday!

To celebrate the best time of the week, The Rocks Markets are now open every Friday Night from 4pm to 9pm. 

Dr Sketchys: Anti-art class, 6pm - 8pm, 7 May

Dr Sketchys are hosting art classes like you've never experienced before! This unconventional sketch class is part performance, part live drawing experience with a little cabaret and burlesque thrown in for good measure. 

Watch flamboyant and colourful performers striking poses and dancing while you get sketching and listen to the charismatic MC. Drop-in sessions are 20 minutes each and promise a visual feast of anti-art, LGBTQI+, burlesque and circus fun that is guaranteed to entertain and delight. 

The award winning Dr Skechys company was founded in New York 14 years ago and has been sharing their unique combination of art and performance around the world ever since.

Courtyard Cabaret - presented by Vintage Allsorts, 21 May, The Rocks Square

A site-specific, immersive music and quirky circus experience that will surprise and delight curious minds.

A celebration of the Cabaret Club - Featuring Vintage Vaudeville

We're inviting Sydney's socialisers, Vintage Culture aficionados, jazz devotees and swing dancers to rediscover and fall in love with The Rocks.

4pm-6pm - Vintage 1940's DJ Set

5pm - Roving performance - Interactive Vaudeville 

6pm-9pm - THE SHOW 

Hosted by the much loved Monica Trapaga, and will feature Queenie and The Cavaliers 

'5 piece live swing band' 

Stage Sets by Beeswax and Bottlecaps

Curated light stories - Love & Revolution, 19 - 23 May, Cnr 47 George St & Atherden St

From 19-23 May a poetry piece 'Love & Revolution' will be projected onto the facade of 47 George Street with sound from 5.30-11pm. The light-artwork brings poetry and street art to life with 2021's most-awarded poet Arab-Australian human rights lawyer Sara Saleh, queer priestess Candy Royalle (RIP) and artist Ms Saffaa.     

On Friday 21, May Candy Royalle's brother Tonalist will perform behind the DJ decks, joined by Sara Saleh providing accompanying spoken word. Live on Atherden Street from 630pm to 830pm. 

Disco Alfresco - presented by Culture Beat Creative, 28 May

Disco Alfresco will be the coolest, dance floor and disco in town. Featuring Sydney's hottest Vinyl Vintage DJs, performance artists and sophisticated socialites. This will be the place to be and be seen.

An outdoor drop in, Disco to dance away the working week blues and step back in time for a nostalgic boogie as you Soul Train your way into the weekend. An immersive dance experience, come and find the infamous Rocks Discotheque.

Soul Train Sessions on the hour from 6pm - 9pm 

Hosted by Sydney Vintage Dance and Sheena Misdemeanour 

Stay for a Soul Train or Dance All Night.
