Hear from leading industry experts on what more should be done in our built and urban environment to help prevent the acceleration of global warming. Part of this year's Sydney Open program.

Scientists are confident that temperatures will continue to rise for decades to come. Considering this, how might we critically review the planning of our densely populated cities, and in particular the ways in which the built environment accelerates the impact of global warming?

Architects, planners and developers have a responsibility to advocate for reducing the harmful effects that the built environment can have on climate. What fundamental changes are required to policy, education and practices in the building industry to reduce its carbon footprint?

In this discussion, moderated by spatial design and cultural advisor Dr Danièle Hromek, we will hear from industry leaders who are innovating with sustainable practices and explore the next steps we can take towards creating a greener and more livable Sydney.
