Multi-award-winning pianist and composer Stu Hunter brings his music to Foundry this May. His latest solo piano album 'the beautiful things' was launched at this year's Sydney Festival, and is a homage to love and family.

The night will start with a set of solo piano followed by a set from Stu's new trio featuring the dynamic and irrepressible engine room of drummer Warren Trout, and bassist Noel Mason.

Expect new originals, re-workings of music from some of Stu's suites, and the odd classic cover thrown in for good measure.

'Hunter locates his music on another level entirely, revealing a unique and completely individual personality…his rhythmic ideas suggest rock influences, while his liking for Monk-like dissonance is tempered throughout by lyricism and melodic beauty' - The Australian, April 3, 2021.
