No previous experience in drawing required, beginners welcome.

Learn to draw animal and plant specimens using scientific drawing methods and investigate the fascinating intersection of art and science. Using an easy step-by-step approach, students will learn to accurately observe, sketch and render natural subjects in a precise scientific context.

We will use a combination of fine ink pens and watercolour paints to represent the unique forms and textures of taxidermy, plant specimens and other natural objects. Animal and plant specimens for drawing will be provided but feel free to bring your own.

  • Zoological 1 day workshop: Monday 28 June

  • Botanical 1 day workshop: Tuesday 29 June
