School Holiday theatre workshops | Writing: Creating Comedy 2021

Actor and comedian Chelsea Zeller explores the principles of writing for comedy and offers starting points for creating a comedy show.

This writing workshop includes practical scriptwriting activities and gives students the chance to engage with professional techniques to explore comedy writing.

During the workshop students will be introduced to:

• The elements of comedic performance

• Process of sketch structure, point-of-view, satire and parody

• Tools available to an actor or writer when exploring a new topic.
