Say Cheese Festival 2020 - FREE Virtual Event

Cheese lovers rejoice! Prahran Market is bringing back its Say Cheese Festival for the seventh year and, in 2020, you can participate from the comfort of your own home.

We'll be bringing you a series of three, free cheesy events held between Thursday 10th - Saturday 12th September, so save the date, RSVP as 'attending', and check back for schedule updates.

THURSDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER, EVENING: AROUND THE WORLD WITH CHEESE

Embark on an international journey of cheese as our Deli Traders take you on a virtual, cheese-inspired trip around the world. Fromage fiends can register for free to learn about different varieties of cheese, their tastes, textures, and uses. We'll be putting together a tasting box that'll be available for purchase on Food Lovers' Direct for those who want to taste along - more info to come!

FRIDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER, EVENING: COOKING WITH KATHY - A CHEESY GREEK DINNER WITH KATHY TSAPLES, SWEET GREEK

Ever wanted to cook a Meditteranean dinner from start to finish? Now you can, with Sweet Greek's Kathy Tsaples guiding guests through how to prepare a delicious three-course Greek meal. Of course, each of the dishes will champion cheese and be perfect for a Friday evening in iso. And if you're keen to get in on the action, you'll be able to purchase the accompanying recipe kit boxes from Food Lovers' Direct to cook along with Kathy at home. Keep an eye out for more details.

SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER, AFTERNOON: GRILLED CHEESE INVITATIONAL

Back for its third year, the Grilled Cheese Invitational will pit some of Melbourne's best chef talent against each other to create the event's best cheese toastie. The Invitational will see each of the participants preparing their toastie before the judges score on name, appearance, and taste. Past winners include Kay-lene Tan from Tonka and Darren Purchese of Burch & Purchese, but who will be Melbourne's Grilled Cheese Champion for 2020?
