It's a joy to welcome Radiance back to SFF.

Twenty-three years after its premiere at the 45th Festival, it remains a powerful, authentic and vital Australian film. The spectacular setting is a run-down family home on a beachfront in sugar cane country, North Queensland. When aloof eldest sister Cressy (Rachael Maza), bitter middle daughter Mae (Trisha Morton-Thomas) and bubbly young Nona (Deborah Mailman in her star-making AFI-winning debut) are forced into each other's company for the first time in years it doesn't take long for squabbling to start. As day turns into a long and unforgettable night, grievances are aired, truths told, and the past is put into life-changing perspective.
