To mark Lunar New Year, Year of the Tiger, the Powerhouse Museum will partner with City of Sydney and Korean Cultural Centre to host an after-hours celebration.

A selection of dance, music, and culinary delights that honour Korean culture will accompany an exploration of the Museum and Five Hundred Arhats of Changnyeongsa Temple.

  • Kimchi making with Heather Jeong

  • Bokjumeoni fortune pouches making with artist Taerim Claire Jeon

  • Lantern Making with Jongpobpsa Temple

ROVING FASHION SHOWCASE

  • Contemporary Hanbok by MiranDay Designs

TOUR + TALK

  • Min-Jung Kim, curator Five Hundred Arhats will lead a tour of Five Hundred Arhats.

  • Miranda Day, Hanbok Designer, provides context to her designs and speaks about how raising awareness of traditional clothing generates new interest in Korean culture and textiles.
