Join us for an introduction to Nyoongar language with award-winning teacher, Sharon Gregory. Explore Nyoongar culture through language, and help keep this once forbidden, harmonious language alive.


In this course, you will learn Nyoongar words, pronunciation and sentence structure. You'll also learn how to produce a resource in language. This course is designed for beginners, no prior knowledge of the language is required.

About Sharon Gregory

Sharon Gregory is a Nyoongar woman and Nyoongar language teacher. Sharon was awarded the 2021 Patji-Dawes Language Teaching Award in the Community Outreach category. The Award recognises outstanding achievements in teaching languages other than English in Australia.

Cost: $16.50 per person, per class.*
