On Saturday 27 June, kindergarten and primary school-aged children can join in with the MSO's activity-filled Kids Marathon, featuring interactive music-making and stories from different countries and cultures across time.
The marathon will begin with a musical acknowledgement of country, recognising Australia's first people reaching back over 40 thousand years, and will end three hours later with a trip through the solar system with Holst's The Planets.
The event will feature conducting workshops, drawing to music sessions, instrument making, as well as musical interludes and short performances. Free activity sheets and a specially-designed musical adventure map will also be available from the website.
