'A world class performer. Major Zulu mesmerizes with her beautifully warm vocal tones, taking you back to the glory days of great jazz singers' - Jazz Mag, France

As part of the 2021 Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival, Zambian/British singer Major Zulu brings her soulful original music to Foundry 616.

Zulu draws on her own life experiences of love, addiction and pain to stimulate a heartfelt and emotional performance, sung in both French and English. She brings a certain depth, soul and cool to jazz, inspired by the rich history of classic jazz, fashion and romance of Paris, the City of Lights.

Zulu has played alongside artists including Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, Earth Wind and Fire, Paolo Nutini and many others. She has featured on grammy-award winning group Basement Jaxx's track 'Everybody' as lead vocalist.
