Limen - 'At the fence' recreates moments from the institutionalisation of mixed descent Aboriginal children at mission sites.
Shadows of the past, silhouettes of resilience and portraits of survival provide us with a shared space to engage with the Survivors. To hear their stories at the place where they spent their years of childhood feeling lost, isolated, traumatised and stolen.
Curated by Team Missions Connect, the exhibition is an outcome of the work being done at the Stolen Generations Immersive Hub, Curtin University, in partnership with Bringing Them Home WA.
