Light & Darkness is a major exhibition opening at the new, purpose-built Chau Chak Wing Museum. Uniting 70 artworks from the University of Sydney's extensive Power Collection of international contemporary art, the exhibition explores the nexus between the presence and absence of light.

Artists working across 3 decades of late modernism consider luminosity, movement and politics, including op and kinetic artists Bridget Riley and Jean Tinguely, conceptual artists Joseph Beuys and On Kawara, and painters from Australia and New Zealand Peter Tyndall, Jenny Watson and Colin McCahon. A stunning publication featuring new writing by leading experts will accompany the exhibition.
