Internationally bestselling Australian author Liane Moriarty will mark her first appearance on stage at the Sydney Opera House in-conversation with fellow writer, political commentator and television host Annabel Crabb for an Australian/New Zealand exclusive digital event.

Moriarty will reveal intimate insights into her personal writing process, sensational characters and riveting storylines that have been adapted for television starring the likes of Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Melissa McCarthy and Meryl Streep.

Moriarty's appearance coincides with the global release of her highly anticipated new book, Apples Never Fall. Readers are brought behind the closed doors of seemingly tranquil suburbia as Moriarty expertly peels away the layers of a family to reveal heartfelt truths, deeply felt wounds and moments of humanity, with her signature wit and expert observational powers.

Bestselling author Jane Harper (The Dry) says: 'I loved it. Apples Never Fall is an absolute page-turner with all the wit and nuance that has put Liane Moriarty head and shoulders above the crowd and shows once again why she leads the pack.'

Liane Moriarty says: 'In these difficult times right now, I feel especially grateful and excited to be launching my new novel at my hometown's most iconic of locations: the Sydney Opera House. I'm thrilled that we have this opportunity to offer a safe, virtual event exclusively for Australian and New Zealand readers and I hope they will enjoy joining me and the wonderful Annabel Crabb at the Sydney Opera House - from the comfort of their own homes!'

The talk will be livestreamed and available to watch on-demand by Australian and New Zealand audiences on Stream, the Opera House's online streaming platform showcasing world-class performing and digital arts.
