Creative kids are invited to join a new online sculpture workshop on Sunday 21 February, inspired by the latest exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW.
Introduce your children to art, inspire their talents and guide them in the creation of their own unique artworks while learning about the collection and current exhibitions at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, during this online workshop.
In this new interactive and hands on workshop we will create a fun sculpture made from cardboard, inspired by the sculptural work of Margel Hinder, as featured in the new exhibition 'Margel Hinder: Modern in Motion' now open at the Art Gallery. We will look at a variety of Hinder's sculptures, exploring technique, line and shape and types of materials used to spark ideas and creativity.
Sculpture can take any shape or size, it can be heavy and solid, or light and flimsy. Some sculptures can even move! We can't wait to see the sculptures your children make!
For ages 5-12 years.
Workshops are held live via Zoom and bookings are limited to facilitate teacher-student interaction.
Presented by the Art Gallery Society of NSW, the membership organisation of the Art Gallery of NSW.
Proudly sponsored by Faber-Castell Australia.
Bookings: $15 for Art Gallery Society of NSW members / $25 for non-Members
Book your tickets at http://bit.ly/sculpture-workshop
Bookings close Friday 19 February at 12pm.
