I Am From The Beginning 2021

Frank Jacob is a collaboration between photographers Jon Frank and Marieka Jacobs.

For this month's Project, MAY SPACE Online presents their newest series I AM FROM THE BEGINNING, a series of photographic and moving image works which were predominately created in the Mediterranean Sea along the west coast of Mallorca, Spain, where the artists have been residing since the onset of the pandemic.

'I AM FROM THE BEGINNING is an exploration of 'self' as a divine beauty that is non-temporal and transcendent in nature. Devoid of earthly identification, the human form within each picture weightlessly occupies space that is unencumbered by time or place. The intention behind this non-corporeal representation of human identity is to explore what the human experience is, beyond the physical and quantifiable.'
