The Hellenic Museum was founded in 2007 to promote a passion for, and appreciation of the rich cultural traditions of ancient and contemporary Greece.
Hundreds of objects spanning over 8,000 years of Greek history are on display in the museum's galleries, as are a number of contemporary exhibitions.
Visitors are also able to learn about the history of the first Greek-Australians, some of whom arrived as convicts, early settlers and gold diggers in the 1800s, and others who arrived during the Australian Government's migration scheme in the 1950s and '60s.
