The Spanish Embassy in Australia, Eat Spanish and the Cervantes Institute are pleased to invite the public to a unique opportunity to enjoy a series of conferences on Spanish gastronomy where three of the best Spanish chefs resident and working in Australia will offer, each of them, a conference on gastronomy in their region.
The conference will be presented by the Spanish chef and president of Eat Spanish Rubén López Mesa. For this exclusive day we will have as a guest the Spanish chef Víctor Moya. Víctor, from Valencia and with Andalusian roots, will offer a conference on Andalusian cuisine complemented by a brief demonstration and tasting.
Victor Moya arrived in Australia in 2011 from Valencia, Spain, bringing with him a wealth of experience from all over the world, cooking fine cuisine in some of the best restaurants around. After completing his technical qualification in Spain in 2001, he focused his work experience in gastronomic restaurants all over Spain, until taking off onto the Michelin path of all great young European chefs.
After working with 3 Michelin star Chef Pedro Subijana in Spain he moved to 3 Michelin star “La Pergola” in Rome, Italy with celebrated chef Heinz Beck. This is where his love for contemporary Italian cuisine was born. He completed a stint in 2 Michelin star Restaurant t'Zilte in Belgium before he found himself back in Spain working at the acclaimed Michelin starred Paco Morales, honing his skill and passions.
