Full Stop Conversation Series with Australian of the Year 2021 Grace Tame.

Join us for the first session of the Full Stop Conversation Series with special guest speaker, Grace Tame.

Australian of the Year 2021, Grace Tame will join Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia chief executive officer Hayley Foster to speak about the issue of sexual violence and the need for a national definition of consent.

As a survivor-advocate herself, Grace is determined to create change by ensuring shame sits with the perpetrator, rather than the victim.

RDVSA is a proud advocacy partner, working with survivor-advocates to influence legal reform throughout Australia.

This event will be facilitated by Meg Clement-Couzner. Meg (she/they) is a social policy expert in disability and gender-based violence. She is currently Assistant Director with the policy branch of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, leading work on domestic, family and sexual violence, reproductive rights and LGBTIQ+ issues.

Meg previously worked at People With Disability Australia where she lead systemic advocacy on violence against people with disability, and the NDIS. Meg holds a PhD on the intersection of gender studies and political economy.

Who is RDVSA?

Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia supports people affected by sexual, domestic or family violence. The Full Stop Foundation raises funds to resource the work of RDVSA.

We offer expert, confidential telephone, online and face to face counselling to people of all genders who have experienced sexual, domestic or family violence, and specialist help for their supporters.

We also advocate with governments, the media and the community to prevent and end violence, and to improve their response when it occurs.

Join us during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence as we have critical conversations discussing the issues of sexual, domestic and family violence. To view our other events visit: www.rape-dvservices.org.au/about/16-days-of-activism-against-gender-based-violence-events
