Firepop at the Rocks Lunar Markets

Firepop brings their charcoal grill pop-up to the Rocks Lunar Markets for Lunar New Year celebrations. With lion dancers, art installations, food stalls and more, the markets will surely have something for everyone!

The Aus-fish-ous Year pops:
In Chinese, fish (鱼 - yú) has the same pronunciation as 余, which means “surplus” or “extra.” The typical New Year blessing is 年年有余 (Nián nián yǒuyú), wishing you to have a surplus of food and money every year. Another traditional blessing is 有头有尾 (yǒu tóu yǒu wěi) - to have both a head and tail. This is a reminder to finish everything you start and wish for positive results. Combining simple seaweed and smoky flavours of grilled fish with Firepop house-made 'tare' sauce, the Aus-fish-ous Year pops are jam-packed with flavour and, most importantly, good luck for the New Year!
