The Aus-fish-ous Year pops:
In Chinese, fish (鱼 - yú) has the same pronunciation as 余, which means “surplus” or “extra.” The typical New Year blessing is 年年有余 (Nián nián yǒuyú), wishing you to have a surplus of food and money every year. Another traditional blessing is 有头有尾 (yǒu tóu yǒu wěi) - to have both a head and tail. This is a reminder to finish everything you start and wish for positive results. Combining simple seaweed and smoky flavours of grilled fish with Firepop house-made 'tare' sauce, the Aus-fish-ous Year pops are jam-packed with flavour and, most importantly, good luck for the New Year!
The Dragon's Firepop:
The dragon dance is a highlight of Lunar New Year celebrations. The movement “dragon chasing the pearl” shows that the dragon is continually in the pursuit of wisdom. Taking inspiration from ancient tales, the Dragon's Firepop represents dragon's flaming pearl. The pearl is associated with spiritual energy, wisdom, prosperity and power - all the things you wish for in the New Year! Lightly toasted vanilla marshmallow “pearl” topped with tangy freeze-dried raspberries and luxurious gold leaf, the Dragon's Firepop is the ultimate Lunar New Year dessert.
Come and visit Firepop for your fix of good luck for 2020!
