This March 27th, World Theatre Day, we honor the writer Emilia Pardo Bazán (1851-1921) on the centenary of her death. We invite you to enjoy the play Insolación through the 'Teatroteca' - free access after registering as a user - and then join us in a talk about the play and its author.
Insolación talks about the meeting of 2 Spanish latitudes, the north and the south, as a metaphor for the prevailing social classes in Spain at the end of the nineteenth century. The aristocratic class and its strict social laws against the more popular Spain with a freer morality. The author presents the meeting between the Galician Marchioness of Andrade and the handsome Pacheco from Cadiz, who comes to break the peaceful and affluent life of the Marchioness.
Videoconference: all you need is a computer or tablet and internet connection so you can get into our meeting with us and other participants through Microsoft Teams. You will receive an email invitation to the session once you have registered for the activity.
For participants, it is essential to register for the activity to receive an invitation to the group video-conference.
