Cottage to Castle pays tribute to our pioneering founder F.J Rose as we commemorate 100 years since his passing. We will reveal insights and celebrate his achievements through a new video to be screened online.

Join us in paying tribute as we celebrate his great legacy and achievements.

The event title, Cottage to Castle takes inspiration from the cottage in Prahran, Victoria, where F.J Rose opened the first school in Victoria for Deaf children in 1860, through to the bluestone, the castle which opened in October 1866.

This iconic building stands today and is embedded in Deaf history and that of the state of Victoria.

This online event will reveal insights into F.J Rose - a visionary with an adventurous spirit. He supported education and advocated for equality for Deaf people. His story is one of great achievement.
