Take part in a magical treasure hunt through Melbourne's CBD this Christmas. Collect a treasure map from Mary Martin Bookshop in Southbank and embark on a quest for clues among Melbourne's landmarks.
The treasure map was designed by local children's author and illustrator Mitchell Toy based on his bestselling picture book, The Midnight City. Toy has also created a stunning Christmas illustration on the bookshop window featuring characters from the book and a final clue.
The treasure hunt begins and ends at Mary Martin Bookshop and is aimed at children between 5 and 12 (although all are welcome to take part). The route takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete and is all within the city’s free tram zone.
While the adventure itself is half the fun, those who solve the riddle will also receive a small prize and go into the running to win a hamper of books.
