More than just a band, Ausecuma Beats is a philosophy.

A nine-piece ensemble of musicians from around the world, the name 'Ausecuma' is the combination of four regions into one: Australia, the Senegambia region, Cuba and Mali. The result is a joyous, groove-fuelled excursion into culturally rich rhythms designed to make you move.

Formed through jams at Melbourne's Bar Ousso, Auecuma Beats was imagined as a way to celebrate diversity in music. Honouring their diverse heritage, the musicians share a contemporary take on traditional music coupled with original pieces they've crafted together. Individually their stories are unique, together their music is profound.

In 2020 the group released its self-titled debut album to plenty of acclaim - a fusion of styles ranging from afrobeat and jazz to rumba. With follow up, Musso, dropped in November this year, this Sydney Festival favourite is stacked with fresh rhythms and ready to return.

'Ausecuma Beats creates an incredibly complex rhythm that almost forces your body to move!' - Triple R FM
